In 1986, Jason Cupp was asked if he would be interested in mowing two yards for a friend of his dad. After figuring out that he could use his parent's old Gravely lawn tractor, he said yes.

Over the next nineteen years, Jason and his team would add services, and build a company known to Kansas City as The Kincaide Company. Kincaide specialized in design/build services and irrigation and was known for performing some of the cities largest residential design/build projects.

In late 2004, looking to streamline operations, and launch a more appropriate brand, several similar companies merged together to form Highland Outdoor.

Today, Highland Outdoor has emerged as being the choice for discriminating residential and commercial clients in the Midwest, focusing on delivering turn-key design/build projects as well as core and specialized maintenance services.  Our reputation is linked to constant client satisfaction, appropriate and timely communication, and our commitment to continual improvement through sharing best-practices and education with other, similarly-cultured firms across the United States.
